Hi,

sir i have a BK15-8 BOREAS screw Air compressor with rated pressure of 8 bar

This air compressor is used in production of nitrogen generation. This compressor have been used for last one year without any problem and has been filling air tank with sustained 8 bar pressure. But now it is only able to produce 5 bar of pressure. We have replaced air and oil filters and checked inlet valve and it is found OK. Kindly help me in diagnosing the fault. thanks.

Hi Syed,

Please check what happens when you close the outlet valve of the compressor? Is it able to reach 8 bars and switch to 'unload' and stop?

It could be a stuck Minimum Pressure Valve, or a very very dirty oil separator. When was it last changed?
