Hello Calvin,

I would not recommend putting thicker oil in, keep with the specifications of the manufacturer.

Better to find the root cause of this problem and fix it :)

Please check the scavenge line. The scavenge line sucks up the oil that collects at the bottom of the separator.

Sometimes, the scavenge line gets blocked. The oil then exits the machine together with the compressed air.

The scavengeline runs from the top of the separator vessel to the bottom of the screw element.

See also this link for more info: the scavenge line

When your remove it at the separator site, you should be able to blow through it by mouth.

Good luck!

Let me knof if this fixed it.
