Oil free Rotary screw air compressors

We have ATLAS COPCO air compressors ZR750 {4 nos.} (used for Air drying in Pressure Filteration) , ZR145ff {1 no.} (used for squeezing in Pressure Filteration), GA160 {1 no.} (used as Utility compressors) but still we don't get 100% air availability in Filteration. We have 4 sets of Filteration unit of 60 filter plates each. What should be done??? What modifications can be done to get 100% availability of air In filteration? How can it be optimised. We have 4 dryers of MD1800 for 4 no. ZR750 compressors and a Refrigerant dryer of GA160.. Kindly reply me as soon as possible whenever you see my message. Thanking you.

Hello Linkesh,

It's hard to answer your question from here.

I understand your problem is that you don't have enough air pressure at the Filtration units.

This could be two things:

  1. You are using more air than before (too much air)
  2. Your compressors are not producing enough air.

For number 1: Did you install extra production units or machines, etc, etc recently? Do you have lots of compressed air leakage?

For number 2: When the pressure gets too low for your machines. Go to the compressor room and check the compressors. Are they all running? Are they all running 'loaded'? What are the temperatures?

Check these first. If you need more help, just let me know!

Thanks, Cas

Replaced pressure switch on a Craftsmen air compressor because it would not start. When I throw the switch it just hums. If I turn it off and on again, the pressure switch will spark-hums. What's going on with it?
