I have a 2.75 hp compressor single phase and suddenly there has developed a fault in the pressure switch.it has a red pull and push button for starting and stopping . Today it tried to start when the lower set pressure was reached but it cut out and the cut out switch on the power board that feeds the compressor power line tripped. I released all the pressure from the tank and the compressor started without tripping the power cut out on the. Power board.

I then released the air valve until the compressor reached its minimum level ready to cut in , and it did the same thing ...tried to start then stopped and the cut out on the power board tripped due to overload.
My suspicion is that the power switch electrics maybe burnt out??
I wonder if I can get a replacement switch? I tried online but the brand name of my compressor sold locally through super cheap autos did not come up as a company on internet. The brand name on the compressor was Air Power. I would be very grateful for yur feed back.
Thanks
Andy
