Atlas SF2 compressor not turning on

Atlas SF2 oil free air compressor does not turn on:

The LED in switch turns on, makes a low humming sound but compressor does not turn on at all, how do we diagnose the problem part ?

How do we check pressure valve or is it a electrical problem with motor ?

Hi Andu,

Please check that electrical supply is good. Check all 3 phases. Is the voltage ok?

After pressing start, check voltage to motor (after big contactor/relay). Are all 3 phases going to the motor?

Switch of compressor, disconnect power if possible (for safety!) and try to turn the compressor by hand (at the motor coupling) is this possible?

How old is this unit? If you're unlucky then the scroll element is bad. This means that you will need to get a replacement element, they can generally not be repaired.
