Installing a used ga7 compressor. Should a check valve be installed at the tank or not? I know it reads the air pressure at the compressor instead of at the tank like my old piston compressor. Your site is great to have. Thank you for your time.

Hi,
There's no need for a check valve!
Actually, it's much better to install it without a check valve, because it can screw-up the control system, since it can't read the system (tank) pressure correctly when there's a check-valve between it.
And, there's already a check valve inside the compressor, it's called the 'minimum pressure valve' and it sits on top of the separator vessel inside your compressor!
Good luck!
